That said, I'm pleased to say we have an abundance of mentors this session ready and willing to assist new MDE students in acclimating themselves to the program. Fill out the questionnaire and you'll be paired with a new mentor as soon as possible.
The most recent additions to this web site are links to professional organizations MDE students might be interested in. Including the USDLA and the American Society for Training and Development. I've stuck mostly with national organizations right now. If anyone is interested in or would like to share regional organizations connected to distance education or technology pass the information on to me via the contact form. I'll post it as soon as possible.
Other additions include new mentor profiles in the Profiles section. Remember the goal of the profile page is to share the interests and skills of both students and alumni, mentors and mentees to provide a resource to MDE participants. You never know when the skills or expertise you have will be just the thing to help someone with a project or other challenge. Connecting in this way is an excellent strategy for expanding our personal learning networks.
That's it for today. I do hope all of you are doing well, and progressing satisfactorily in your courses. For those just starting the MDE soak up as much as you can, keep up with your reflective journals (which will help when you take OMDE 670 to graduate
and remember it is never too early to start thinking about your capstone project.
Cheers and best wishes,
